I have been in the travel Industry for over 7 years now and have worked exclusively for Cruise Holidays Plus.  On previously reaching a point in my life where my children had grown up and left home and finding I had more time on my hands, I meet up with a friend of mine who worked in the travel business to "pick her brain" on the requirements for entering into the field of Travel.  I was fortunate enough to meet with Cheryl McDonald who insisted I take many of the online trainings that were available, and once completed was offered a position with Cruise Holidays of Lindsay.

Some of the many courses I have completed include attending Cruise Line International Associations conference in Fort Lauderdale (CLIA), as well as shipboard inspections in Montreal and Toronto and other virtual ship board inspections.  

I have qualified as a Sandals Representative, Maaco Rep as well as a Riu hotel, and many other hotel chains, giving me the knowledge to confidently book people based on their needs.

A little history of me.  I was born and raised in England and due to my father being in the Military spent my childhood moving from country to country.  Many of those including Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, Holland, Spain, and the UK  as well as taking many holidays  in many other countries. 

As an adult I have also been fortunate in being able to travel with my family and often friends to many other parts of the world such as Eastern European Countries,  Africa twice, Eqypt, Turkey, Iceland, Alaska, Hawaii  and China by land travel and by Cruises.  

Most of my earlier travel was done by coach tours, driving tours and various land based touring companies such as G-Adventure, Safari Partners, Onthegotours and many others.

On joining Cruise Holidays I had a whole new world of travel open up to me, namely Cruising.  Which for most is an obvious choice, but an area that I had not pursued.

I have travelled with small cruise ships such as Viking River and Yacht, Emerald, Azamara, Oceania and the larger cruise lines, such as Celebrity, Carnival, Princess, Hurtigruten.  I have also recently become a Distinctive Voyage hostess and had the privilege of host my first cruise with Azamara in Brazil and Argentina.  I was one of the fortunate people that just made it make to Canada before the Covid 19 shutdown occurred.  

Although times are different having come through the Covid pandemic.  I have confidence that the world will correct itself and we are seeing people willing and wanting to travel again.
